Job description: Associate Director – Implementation will be part of the REVIVE Platform, a multi-stakeholder platform comprising philanthropic foundations, corporations, implementing partners, NBFCs, and nonprofits to build momentum for livelihoods and income generation for underserved and marginalized segments of society and MSMEs affected by the pandemic. Through a series of organized interventions including financial assistance, training and capacity building, access to social security, digitization, etc., the initiative seeks to revive livelihoods and build resilience long-term.
REVIVE is incubated by MSDF, Omidyar Network, USAID, FCDO, UNDP and supported by several large partner companies.
Job description :
– Identify and develop a database of implementing partners through the communities of strategic interest;
– Deploy tenders, perform due diligence and involve relevant implementation partners
– Conceptualize and design programs by marrying Samhita’s theory of change with the needs of donors / clients and the realities of implementing partners and cohorts of beneficiaries – Integrate all internal and external stakeholders relevant to the proposed intervention
– Work with the internal monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) team to articulate the idea of ​​success of the intervention with a results framework
– Execute and continuously monitor the project to achieve overall goals in a timely and cost effective manner
– Develop and manage solid processes to ensure the integrity of project deliverables
– Maintain, analyze and present value-added reports that identify the status and progress of all projects, processes, milestones and deliverables; Contribute to donor / client reports as needed
– Management of management reviews and partner reviews on projects
– Develop deep and meaningful relationships with stakeholders – Donor / client, implementing partners
– Identify and facilitate subsequent engagement with specific cohorts and clients
– Manage and mentor a team of program managers and associate members of the Pan India team
– Ensure that lessons, learning and research around program quality are carried out and used for program quality improvement. Having and instituting the highest standards in impact and customer service – being a role model and mentor on these dimensions.

Degrees, skills and experience:
– 12+ years of field implementation experience in the social sector
– Ability to quickly develop a both intuitive and data-driven view of client needs (beneficiary, funder) and how to meet those needs.
– Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change. Structured and analytical approach to problem solving.
– Experience in managing and coaching teams.
– Stellar planning with the ability to prioritize among diverse / sometimes contradictory priorities. Ability to determine the length and difficulty of tasks and projects and the ability to break down process steps
– Ability to bridge the gap between the non-profit and for-profit worlds. Exposure to strategy, CSR and private foundations would be a definite advantage. Passion for the development sector and the communities we serve is a must.
– Strong project management skills to manage complex, multi-faceted projects leading to measurable successes.
– Demonstrated success in the development and evaluation of program and NGO models, as well as in the selection and operationalization of programs.
– Solid knowledge of the development landscape in India and globally, including a deep understanding of the roles of different stakeholders (government, universities, international institutions, foundations, non-profit organizations and businesses).
