SUMMARY OF POSITION
Specialize in Middle Eastern cuisine.
Prepare special meals or substitute items. Adjust the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and rotisseries. Take food out of the freezer to thaw it in the refrigerator. Make sure the portion, arrangement and garnish of food is appropriate. Keep food diaries. Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared. Communicate help needed during peak periods. Inform the chef of excess foods to use in daily specials. Notify Food & Beverage staff of menu specials and out-of-stock menu items. Ensure the quality of food products. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and the food preparation checklist. Prepare cold foods.
Help management hire, train, plan, evaluate, advise, discipline, motivate and coach employees; serve as a model. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions to the manager; comprehensive safety training and certifications.
