SUMMARY OF POSITION
Prepare special meals or substitute items. Adjust the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and rotisseries. Take food out of the freezer to thaw it in the refrigerator. Make sure the serving size, arrangement and garnish of food is appropriate. Keep food diaries. Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared. Communicate help needed during peak periods. Inform the chef of excess foods to use in daily specials. Notify Food & Beverage staff of menu specials and out-of-stock menu items. Ensure the quality of food products. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and the food preparation checklist. Prepare cold foods.
Help management hire, train, plan, evaluate, advise, discipline, motivate and coach employees; serve as a model. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions to the manager; comprehensive safety training and certifications. Ensure that the uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Anticipate and respond to customer service needs. Speak with others using clear, professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to achieve common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure that expectations and quality standards are met. Remain standing, sitting or walking for an extended period. Reach above and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, transport, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
