Job description: The Consulting Analyst will be an integral part of the data analysis team focused on supporting the data and analytical needs of travel consulting projects. The Consulting Analyst should have the ability to interpret data, create complex data analyzes, produce presentations for clients, identify trends / gaps and create relevant recommendations for client presentations.
The main responsibilities include:
Effectively support multi-workflow engagements, prioritize client demands and work goals By leveraging appropriate project management methodologies and tools such as project plans and problem logs.
Collaborate with GBT stakeholders to understand complex business needs. Develop hypotheses and identify data to evaluate based on customer needs. Review and validate data, analyze, develop options / alternatives and create relevant recommendations in the context of full engagement.
Compile various data sources with large amounts of data and have the ability to link data together to create reports / solutions.
Work on the work of RFP. Includes interpreting tenders, working on data models, etc.
Run reports, fix file errors, normalize data, and more, create scenario-based models.
Present complex information and data in a simple, easy-to-understand way – break it down according to audience.
Produce accurate and timely customer reports and deliverables.
Effectively manage issues and risks that arise during the project / engagement lifecycle.
Desired profile and qualifications of the candidate:
Need energetic, curious and creative go-getters.
Bachelor’s degree where courses could include (either): statistics, travel, business administration, finance, decision science, economics and mathematics. Candidates with master’s degree preferred.
4 years of professional experience required with 2 years of business travel or organizational consulting.
Candidates with experience in airline strategy, sourcing and optimization in the travel industry are preferred.
Must have good analytical and project management skills with an innovative mindset and conceptual thinking ability.
Proficiency in the MS Office suite, in particular Excel and Access. Knowledge of SQL and Tableau will be a plus.
Experience in managing Air programs with data visualization solutions including Tableau is desired and preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills, listening skills and written presentation skills.
Very customer focused with the ability to pay attention to detail and focus on quality.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and to present / discuss work results convincingly.
Team spirit, Flexibility / ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
Excellent time management skills required including the ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced multi-project environment.
