Are you the one we are looking for
We are launching a call for applications for the position of MT, Cash Applications
In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with and within the P&C insurance finance operations management team.
Responsibilities
Daily liquidity management for cash funding
Settlement of IC loans, general and administrative expenses, and capital contributions with other platforms
Real cash flow analysis on the platform and consolidation at group level
Counterparty risk management for the platform and the group
Preferred share dividend Payment of interest and recognition of long-term debt
Corporate credit card reservation and reconciliation on the cash side.
Review collection reports to determine the status of collections and outstanding balances to ensure compliance with credit and collections policy.
Management of requests, statements, invoices and payment of bonuses via the finance e-mail box.
Daily upload of bank transactions to update cash log file and assign according to details
After receiving the documentation, further assess the KYC update status according to the deviation letter and further coordinate the missing documents.
Examine the complaints workflow for processing the payment of complaints
Payment of booking claims, including proportional claims
Matching premiums and claims in the system
Payment and reservation without complaint as provided by another department
Review journal entry and posting in the system
Authorization of payments on the bank’s website as the first approver
Age of receivables, including follow-up comments on unpaid premiums
Initial follow-up of unmatched and unallocated premiums with broker and underwriters
Bank reconciliation for all bank accounts.
Connect with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams for open items.
Show open items in summary sheet with follow-up comments
Discussion with the department head on the expenditure forecasts for the current year and the planning for the next year
Creation of a planning model for 30 cost centers based on the information gathered
Monthly follow-up meeting with department heads (DH) on future changes
Encouraging information in the group planning template and sent to the group planning team for review
Research and make changes according to the group planning team
Update of the MI expenditure model on a quarterly basis
Provide variance comments for QTD and YTD digits
Dissemination of the plan vs report of actual expenses to DH
Find requests sent by DH
Maintain and update the tracking of benefits allowances
The qualifications we are looking for in you
Minimum qualification
B.Com graduate
Preferred qualification
Strong knowledge of treasury operations in credit control, treasury and bank reconciliation and FP&A
Advanced Excel user
Ability to act on one’s own initiative
Must demonstrate a high level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility
Ability to manage multi-faceted workload volumes and meet goals and deadlines in a timely manner
Innovative and always looking for continuous improvement in order to develop a succession plan for the staff
Good communication skills, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills (in English)
Exercises sound judgment on day-to-day business issues and provides recommendations to resolve course correction
