The Inside Sales Director is responsible for the performance and revenue of the APAC Inside Sales hub. The role has direct connections to Singapore and New Delhi.
Develop a full cycle sales strategy for the entire sales solutions portfolio, subscription based business model.
Work in a matrix organization with strong collaborative skills and experience in a shared sales environment.
Drive new business, customer retention and revenue growth for key accounts by focusing on customer needs and delivering Elsevier solutions to create a positive influence on revenue.
Focus on market segmentation (small, medium and long tail) within academic and government clients.
Manage pipeline health, sales metrics, and forecasting to optimize sales performance.
Lead stakeholder management and reporting for the APAC region.
This role reports directly to a team of solution sales managers and account managers.
Coach, train and develop team members to meet their individual and team sales quotas
Technical and functional skills
Ability to lead a team both in sales research (prospecting, lead generation, pitching and closing deals) and in growing existing accounts
Proven skills in customer influence, value and sales advice
Strong in the sales process, metrics and performance management
Knowledge of the academic market domain or management of software sales in academic markets will be an advantage
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Terms & Conditions
At least 10 years of sales and business development experience
Applicants from the market research, technology and life sciences industry may have an advantage
At least 5 years of proven experience leading successful sales teams in a matrix organization made up of diverse cultural backgrounds, seniority, skills and knowledge.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and presentation
Experience working in an international matrix organization
