Call for applications for the position of Senior Advisor, Actuarial

In this role, you will work closely with the team leaders of the actuarial teams to complete the projects. You will also work on the technical documentation of the modifications made to the model. You will complete your deliverables with a proactive and problem-solving approach with good logical reasoning skills. You will be encouraged to have good customer management skills and analytical skills. You should also work on coding and maintaining the model for issues identified in the research log. Are you the one we are looking for Apply Now Responsibilities * Technical Leadership and Support:

  • Provide technical and managerial leadership (as needed) to the Genpact team in the execution of all tasks / projects – serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Produce and review documents (technical or otherwise) that the team produces to ensure they adhere to guidelines provided by the customer process owner.
  • Support client team leaders on business initiatives and projects as per client process manager preference and priority – participate as needed to provide process improvement opportunities to client business owners.
  • Coach and mentor an offshore team – motivate and inspire the team to improve team / individual performance and maintain healthy work dynamics.
  • Leading by example promotes the consistency of expected behaviors.

2. Process Support: * Understand the complete customer reporting landscape across pricing and finance and perform tasks / projects / analyzes assigned by the Customer Process Manager.

  • Ensure that the team respects established SLAs and KPIs.
  • Act as an auditor / reviewer providing feedback with detailed analysis to support results.
  • Value Generation – Proactively seek ways to improve efficiency and calibrate with the Genpact team and customer process owners for their direction and prioritization to execute process improvements.
  • Understand the end-to-end functionality of the actuarial process.
  • Identify potential areas of support for the offshore team.
  • Coordinate with the executives of the client and Genpact the expectations, the priorities and the transition of the work towards the offshore.
  • Facilitate feedback on processes and models between the customer and Genpact.
  • Perform tasks and process activities necessary to maintain knowledge, serve as backup, and balance workload.
  • Create a knowledge repository through process documentation and keep it up to date.

3. Program / Process Governance: * Ensure that all process and project related deliverables include defined controls and supporting evidence that meet agreed requirements.

  • Ensure that agreed governance practices are in place and followed. Daily / weekly / monthly status reports of team activities against program plan or schedule.
  • Establish working relationships within the client environment with other actuarial functions, finance, IT and project management teams.
  • Timely escalation of issues requiring close attention to Genpact management / customer process owners; create the necessary action plans.

Qualifications we are looking for in you Minimum qualifications

  • BS / BA Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics and / or related major
  • Partially qualified actuary (5+ validated actuarial exams) with experience in the life insurance / annuity or financial services industry
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage through influence and build long-term trust
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Preferred diplomas

  • Solid actuarial work experience and understanding of insurance products
  • Specific knowledge of actuarial tools MGAlfa, Polysystems, Axis
  • Good knowledge of Excel, VBA, SQL
  • Knowledge of actuarial processes
  • Knowledge of GAAP, STAT and tax reporting concepts
