Department Profile
Global Banking Technology (GBT) is a dynamic and rapidly evolving field within the WM Technology division of the company. We are responsible for creating innovative technological solutions for the Private Banking Group (PBG), one of the strategic growth areas of the company, by providing cash and loan management products and services to our WM clients. GBT offers technology solutions for the bank’s investment portfolio, a multi-billion dollar fixed income trading desk dealing with a multitude of asset classes. Job Description
The ideal candidate will perform software quality assurance testing in all areas of banking products and master various automation tools and techniques. The person should have extensive functional testing experience, have good automation testing skills and take ownership of items independently while ensuring follow-up to close. The candidate will liaise with global teams to understand requirements, create test cases (e.g. unit, component, multi-component), as well as automate and deliver projects. The position requires attention to detail, associated with ownership, to ensure delivery of high quality applications.

  • Work as part of the core banking team / fleet, on QA processes with a focus on managing the automation execution with various automation tools and techniques.
  • Contribute to automation frameworks and automate test cases ensuring full automation coverage
  • Develop custom utilities and frameworks aligned with DevOps practices
  • Independently estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate test and automation activities.
  • Review quality specifications and engineering design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Record and document debugging procedures.
  • Track test metrics, such as test coverage, defect densities, and number of open defects, to gain and share information about quality issues.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases in accordance with company standards on time
  • Perform in-depth manual regression testing when technical issues are resolved and learn how to automate those tests.
  • Contribute and actively participate in daily stand-ups and Agile Sprint planning and preparation sessions.
  • Design tests based on Agile specifications for functionality and expected behavior
  • Stay up to date with new testing approaches, tools and strategies. , *

Required Skills

  • 7-10 years of proven professional experience in QA with a focus on QA automation.
  • Over 5 years of experience working with geographically dispersed teams spread across different time zones
  • 4+ years of demonstrable experience in automation technologies including Selenium, Protractor, UFT, Junit, Gherkin, JMeter, etc. and scripting languages, including Peal, Python and / or Java.
  • Experience in API services / testing and automation.
  • In-depth knowledge of test management software (eg ALM, Jira, qTest, Zephyr).
  • Proficiency in using SQL queries for databases or large datasets.
  • Expertise in working with XML, XSLT and SOAP and JSON formats.
  • Experience in Agile and Devops methodology with the integration of automated tests into the continuous integration and delivery pipeline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with good communication skills to work effectively in a global team.

Desired skills

  • Working knowledge of the architecture and application principles based on kafka and the cloud.
  • Previous experience working in the financial services industry

Qualification for education:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
