Job description :

– Identify and analyze new business development opportunities for solar projects

– Improve and streamline business models and renewable energy offerings, including business, market, financing, governance and regulatory aspects
Customer details
Our client is a leading company in the field of renewable energies in Europe, established in India since 2004 and interested in the markets of hydropower, solar energy and electricity. The role is based in Bangalore with frequent trips across India.
The description
– Lead the strategy and business development opportunities in renewable technologies

– Monitor market intelligence within the industry in terms of market development, new projects, competitive activity, new customers, etc.

– Lead origination, screening and local coordination of M&A operations

– Support greenfield development teams in project conceptualization, internal approval processes, financial evaluation

– Project management of new initiatives, selection of development / asset management / commercial activities in collaboration with teams based in India and around the world

– If necessary, manage tender formalities, including the preparation of tender documents. –

– Provide reports, presentations, data and analysis to management –

– Take responsibility for the professional development of team members;
Profile
– In total more than 10 years of professional experience in the renewable energy sector, of which the last five years should have been in strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business / commercial development

– Degree in engineering / business / economics / mathematics from a reputable institute / university with preference for a master’s degree in commerce / finance

– Willingness to travel a lot (in case of safety)

– Integrity, commitment, results-oriented and strong ability to lead and influence

– Ability to manage teams and complex strategic projects

– Experience in formulating strategies, planning and implementing activities

– Solid experience in renewable M&A transactions in India

– Understanding of the Indian electricity sector and more specifically the renewable energy sector, including wind, solar, hydraulic and emerging technologies
