Job description: JOB OBJECTIVE (JOB SUMMARY):
Under necessary supervision, provides operational support for trade confirmation, settlement and negotiation with broker, custodian and traders for prompt settlement of trades. Provide operational support for derivatives, including trade matching, margins and collateral management. Exercises independent judgment while researching and resolving critical and risk-sensitive issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / FUNCTIONS:
Match transactions between Invesco and brokers and liaise with the broker for unconfirmed and mismatched trades.
Research discrepancies with trading desks, custodians and brokers to facilitate quick and accurate settlement of transactions.
Report and track failed trades with broker, custodian and communicate with appropriate internal teams.
Capture brokerage performance related to the confirmation and settlement of transactions and produce an analysis report
Proactively provide ideas and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Process manual transactions in accounting systems, as needed
Match derivative transactions like futures, swaps and options and raise discrepancies with internal parties and appropriate brokers.
Match margins with brokers and facilitate the movement of margin between broker and custodians. Support collateral management process by matching collateral with broker and reporting over / under collateral.
Maintain and update documentation on Global Trade Processing Operational Procedures
Perform user acceptance testing and deployment support on upgrade / improvement of applications used in daily operation
Maintain and update the broker, custodian and SSI contact sheet
Staggered shift work is required on a rotational basis and as defined by the manager to provide global business coverage depending on the project, assignment or daily business activity.
Rotating assistance coverage is required for international markets open during public holidays
Participate in disaster recovery tests as needed, as defined by the manager
WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of global investment products is required
KNOWLEDGE OF THE LIFE CYCLE OF TRADE:
Must have a working knowledge of 0 to 2 years of experience in the investment industry
A good understanding of Derivatives (Futures, Swaps, Options) and the confirmation and settlement process for these instruments
Good knowledge of fixed income products and the FI transaction lifecycle.

The interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals are required.
Must demonstrate the ability to make quick decisions, set priorities and focus on detailed information under pressure on a daily basis.
This includes the ability to handle critical situations while meeting strict deadlines.
Must have the ability to analyze detailed digital data.
Attention to detail is essential.
Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, with particular emphasis on Excel.

FORMAL EDUCATION: (minimum requirement to perform tasks)
A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities)
